High Speed Data for Modem for Intrincially Safe Telephone Lines

The project objectives for this program were to Design, Construct and Demonstrate a low cost, high-speed, Intrinsically safe data modem capable of transmitting and receiving electronic data over existing intrinsically safe telephone lines which are installed within underground collieries.

The project has been successful in all of the objectives and has resulted in a production design based on the results of the test being currently marketed and made available to the mining industry. The current production build order is for 25 units followed by additional units of 25 at fixed intervals.
