Mine Site Greenhouse Gas Mitigation » Mine Site Greenhouse Gas Mitigation
The VAM Abatement Technology Assessment Tool (VAMATA) is developed for evaluating various VAM abatement technologies based on the capital expenditure, Greenhouse gas reduction, and environmental impact factors. After consulting with ACARP and other research groups, twelve items are evaluated against the corresponding criteria for existing VAM technologies such as TFRR, combustion benchmark (gas turbine), chemical looping technology for VAM abatement (CLVAM), and the new VAM abatement technology proposed by the software users.
The software is designed for users from industries, research groups and ACARP evaluating officials.
The software is developed in c++ language using Microsoft Visual Studio windows form application.
The outputs generated from the software include:
· The input parameters for existing VAM abatement technologies and the new VAM abatement technology proposed by the users;
· The input parameters for the mining site;
· Final report for the final evaluation results for the new/existing VAM abatement technologies and graphs comparing the performance of the various VAM abatement technology.
The software is provided with this report.
