Coal Augering

This project set out to demonstrate the application of an underground auger in coal operations.

Its primary objective was to move the prototype to a commercial system. This was achieved, and after a number of successful trials, the most recent of which being held at Gunnedah Colliery the auger is now a commercial reality.

The brief final report simply documents the trials that occurred at Wyee, Tahmoor, Myuna, Awaba, Appin, Dartbrook, Teralba and Gunnedah.
